Spiritual Walk on Inis Oírr

You can take part in a wonderful Spiritual Walk on Inis Oírr this Wednesday, 14th June 2017 with walk leader Pius Murray. This year will be the 3rd annual walk on Inis Oírr to celebrate the Islands Lá Fhéile Phatrún or Caomhan’s (St. Kevin’s) Day. Caomhan is the patron saint of Inis Oírr (Inisheer). Caomhan’s Phatrún Day takes place in June each year. Tourists, Islanders, and guests all gather to celebrate the Phatrún together. This is a day of celebration and festivities including an open-air mass, traditional Irish music and Sean-Nós dancing.

The total cost for the walk and return ferry ticket is 30 euro per person. We recommend that everyone wears warm, waterproof clothing and walking shoes/boots. You may also wish to bring a snack, packed lunch, and bottle of water. Please email Pius at piusmurray23@gmail.com, or contact him at Mob. + 353 87 982 8173.
