Doolin Ferry’s Tranquility journey home

After a long season of working hard to carry passengers to and from the Aran Islands several times a day, every day, our ferries take a well deserved winter break.  The ferries need to be fully replenished and get the TLC they deserve to make sure that they are in first class shape for the nest season.  So even though our ferry service operates from March to October only we are certainly hard at work behind the scenes all year around.  This winter the Tranquility and the Doolin Express made the journey up to Mooney Boats boatyard for this service in Killybegs, Co. Donegal.  There they can be lifted out of the water and put in a custom made shelter for maintenance and a fresh coat of paint.  We’d like to thank Mooney Boats for taking such good care of our crew and ferries as always.

Here is a little clip of the Tranquility on her 18 hour journey home from Killybegs Co. Donegal to the Burren, Co. Clare.  We hope you enjoy it.
