It’s the 11th annual Burren Slow Food Festival this year taking place from Friday to Sunday, 12th to 14th May. This year’s festival theme is “Best of Irish GIN and Raw IRISH CHEESES”- what’s not to love there? The entire weekend of talks and events will be centered around the delicious foods that the sea and the land around us offer for us to enjoy. And what better way to start the weekend off than with a Burren Champagne Picnic under the Cliffs of Moher?
This cruise to the magnificent Cliffs of Moher will inspire your palate and show you the habitats of Ireland’s sea life in it’s bounty, edible and otherwise! Passing lobster pots along the way the ferry will make it’s way down the 5 kilometers of coastline that stretches from Doolin to beneath O’Brien’s Tower standing high on the Cliffs. Here you can take in the sights and sounds of the sea all while enjoying a locally sources picnic of foods and a bubbling glass of champagne.
