There are many ways to explore the island. One thing to keep in mind is that this island is quite large. If you are only visiting for the day you should consider a mini bus, van, or pony & trap tour. If you are comfortable and used to cycling this is a great option too. The island is too big to walk all in one day but if you are staying overnight or for a few days that would be a nice option.

How long does it take to walk around?
It would take a full day or even two to walk around the island and see all the main sights.
How long does it take to cycle around?
It takes 30 minutes to cycle to Dun Aonghasa. So if you want to see a good few main highlights it would take about 4 to 5 hours.
Super day out on Inis Oir & amazing views & info of the cliffs on the return.
