Áras Éanna

This Arts and Heritage Centre contains a 75 seater theatre/cinema, two art galleries, a café, and is housed in a renovated weaving factory. The centre offers exclusive concerts, exhibitions and workshops throughout the year.

Sports Day

Annual celebration of traditional sports on Inis Oírr. A weekend long festival filled with sporting events and competitions for all ages. Perhaps the highlight of the weekend are the Currach Races, of which most of our Crew will take part in!

Craiceann (Bodhran Summer School)

Craiceann (say, Cracken) is Irish for skin, referring to the goats skin used to make the Traditional Irish Drum, the Bodhran. Each year this event brings music enthusiasts from all parts of the world for Lectures, Concerts, Sets and more.

Stone Wall Building Course

This is a 3 day workshop on dry stone wall building. Also drawing crowds from across the globe this course is for farmers, stone wallers, architects, builders and craftspeople and the like. They certainly aren’t short of example on this Island!

Inis Oírr

Inis Oírr (Inisheer) is the smallest of the three Aran Islands. Its name means “Back Island” and is the closest island to Doolin Pier.
